Hey! I’ve tried FMWhatsApp before, mainly for the same reason — more control over privacy settings, especially with WhatsApp status. FMWhatsApp does offer advanced options like hiding your status view from specific contacts without them knowing, and even viewing others’ statuses without triggering a view. So in terms of features, it definitely gives you more flexibility than the official app.
